A camel driver storie

A camel driver named Bashir Sarban from Karachi (Pakistan) was invited by the 36th President of U.S.A, Mr. Lyndon B Johnson to U.S.A back in 1960s and he became friend of the camel driver Bashir. All this shocked the world that a U.S President has invited a common man as his personal guest and personally funded the man’s visit. Bashir was also given the keys of 3 U.S states as a souvenir and Mr. Johnson presented him many gifts including a Ford mini truck. Lyndon Johnson was in Karachi, Pakistan on behalf of President Kennedy as part of a goodwill mission, it was here that he met Bashir Ahmad in a group of camel drivers on a roadside. He pressed the flesh even patting the camels. He used a phrase he had regularly said in his travels, "You all come to Washington and see us sometime" but was completely surprised when the illiterate camel driver accepted his offer. With the press hot on his heels after the acceptance, the vice-president took advantage of the People-to-People program to fund the Pakistani's travel expenses. Another account indicates that Bashir was invited to the Vice President's ranch and that the surprise came not at the time (at least from her point of view), but the next day in the press. Ibrahim Jalis, a popular columnist in Pakistan, reported that everyone was excited by the fact that the vice president had invited Bashir to come to America. Perhaps, he had made the above reported statement while shaking Bashir's hand, leading to the misunderstanding that he had been invited. His column was favorable to Johnson, and contained the quote, "Don't conquer a country, don't conquer a government. If you wish to conquer, conquer the hearts of the people." High rate of unemployment in Kosovo

Unemployment in Kosovo is one of the main problems of our society, said deputy minister of Labour and Social Welfare Berat Luzha after the presentation of Universum’s collage research “The employment barometer” where it was said that abilities such as communication, team-work and knowledge on technology information are the most estimated and required in labor market for 2013 year.
Luzha says that, at the moment, 259 thousand and 341 people are registered as unemployed in the employment office in ministry; this number shows the rate of unemployment for around 35 to 40 percent.

However, Festina Belidemaj author of the research “the employment barometer” said that this research has shown that employers in Kosovo have a positive point of view regarding movements in labour market.
According to her, this research shows that abilities such as communication, team-work and knowledge on technology information are the most estimated and required in labour market for 2013 year.

Kosovo’s metals no longer sold

Kosovo’s export is decreasing, especially in metals.
The latest report of export for June shows an obvious decrease compared to that of June 2012.
If we compare these two reports, we may see that there is a decrease on base metals and products by 6 %. There is a small decrease on mineral products by 2 % and 0.4% at textile products.
The rates have affected the overall export decrease rate by -12.8%.

Rama: Our path towards EU is united

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama during the solemn session of Kosovo Assembly has declared he is ready for the beginnings of alliance between the two countries, to return back the opportunities of new time into success and development for Kosovo and Albanian citizens.
Prime Minister Rama said he comes here with a huge respect for what Kosovo has been able to achieve and do in just 5 years as state and independence in decision-making.
He also said “Kosovo and Albania are in a joint pathway towards a European future”.
He thanked representatives of Kosovo institutions for the honour and hospitality received.
However, Speaker of Kosovo Assembly Jakup Krasniqi said that by this official visit that Rama made to Kosovo, the close relation between Kosovo and Albania has been proven.

Cristiano Ronaldo extends his contract until 2018 with Real Madrid

Hours after the several members of the British press splashed their dailies with gossip that Cristiano Ronaldo is refusing to stay at Real Madrid past 2015, contrary evidence has been produced by Spanish outlet Cadena COPE claiming the opposite is in fact true.
According to Cadena COPE, Cristiano Ronaldo has preliminary agreed to extend his Real Madrid contract until 2018.
The report claims that the Portuguese superstar has agreed to extend his current Real contract by another three years, despite a sensational approach from an unnamed French side for his services.
This unnamed Ligie 1 side, who could only potentially be PSG or Monaco, are said to have offered Ronaldo 17 million euros a season in a four year deal. In addtion, Ronaldo would have received a 50 million euro signing on bonus too.

Yahoo overtakes Google in US web traffic

Yahoo websites attracted more US visitors than Google in July, according to the most recent internet traffic numbers.
Confounding analysts’ predictions, Yahoo sites attracted 196.6 million unique visitors last month, giving it the biggest audience of any US-based web property and overtaking Google for the first time since May 2011, according to analytic company comScore.
Yahoo’s unique visitors were up 21 per cent compared to July of last year, when it came in third behind Google and Microsoft. During the same period, Google sites, (including YouTube), attracted 192.3 million unique visitors, up less than 1 per cent.
Microsoft made third place in July, with 179.6 million unique visitors, followed by Facebook with 142.3 million and AOL with 117.4 million.
Although this is largely symbolic achievement for Yahoo, the news will be welcomed by Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, who joined in July 2012 and recently laid out the company’s plans to remodel itself in the image of Google.
In an earnings call last month, which revealed mixed results, Mayer noted that page views were rising after more than a year of declines, citing recently refreshed versions of Yahoo mail, weather, sports, news and Tumbler, both on desktop and mobile.
